Jack Reich

Jack Patrick Reich was born September 15, 1969 in North Dakota. He started his rodeo career riding calves in local shows. He competed in HS rodeo as a bareback rider competing in National HS Finals Rodeo several times. He attended MSU (Bozeman, MT) on a rodeo scholarship. Jack was National High School Reserve Champion in 1987 & 1988 and a member of the National Collegiate Champions. He was a member of the PRCA until 1997.

Reich was posthumously awarded the ND Stockmen’s Association Top Hand Award in 2013 and was named the ND Angus Association’s Man of the Year that same year. He had served on the ND Stockmen’s Association Board of Directors from 2000-2006, was Vice-president from 2006-2008 and served as President from 2008-2010. Jack also served as Director of the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association for 2 years.

Jack grew up helping his father with a commercial cow operation. In 1997, he began a registered Black Angus operation – Reich Angus – known for its quality Angus bulls.

Reich, along with his son Vander, was killed in an automobile accident in Minnesota on Nov 6, 2012.
