So much to experience with over 40 exhibits!

HALL OF HONOREES

The centerpiece of the Center of Western Heritage & Cultures is the Hall of Honorees, paying tribute to the men, women, organizations and livestock that made extraordinary contributions to North Dakota’s culture, lifestyle and legacy.

NATIVE AMERICAN GALLERY

Immerse yourself in the story of North Dakota’s Native Americans.

CHAD BERGER BUCKING BULLS

Since the 1970s, the Berger name has been synonymous with some of the best bucking stock in rodeo. To date, Chad Berger has been named PBR Stock Contractor of the Year an astounding 11 times.

The all-new Chad Berger Bucking Bulls Exhibit, complete with a one-third scale “Little Yellow Jacket”, designed for kids to “ride” for a photo opportunity, is sponsored by Dale Pahlke and Dakota Community Bank & Trust.

GREAT WESTERN TRAIL

This new Great Western Trail exhibit, located just inside the entrance to our Ranching & Homesteading Gallery, will present information and maps to increase visitors’ knowledge of the vitally important history of cattle trails and the men who drove herds of cattle for weeks on end, over rough terrain, often in extreme weather, successful against all odds.

Actor, musician, poet and stage performer, Red Steagall, lends his voice to a video presentation, produced by the NDCHF, bringing the story of the Great Western Trail to life for our visitors. The video will run on a loop within the exhibit space, all day, every day.

Learn about the lifestyle and experiences of North Dakota’s Native Americans, homesteaders, ranchers and world-class rodeo cowboys.
